Last night a dear friend and one of Europe's best keyboard players turned 50. The party started with a soccer tournament and finished with a surprise visit from Per-Erik Hallin, the one keyboard player who probably influenced more rock, pop, soul keyboarders than anybody else in Europe ever. All this happened on a normal monday evening. That's what a week should look like! Great parties when you feel like it, not when you have to.

A lot of other great singers and musicians were there too, of course, and some of them I will meet in New York next month. Lots of nice things to look forward to and I know I have reasons to come back to that later.
